Volcano - by Rajiv Lather

 With

a clear
 lake in its
crater, the
volcano   sits
majestic  in its
solitude Over the
ages this pubescent
protuberance with its
tiny ejections has grown
with each new blow out. It
has risen and risen so that it
sticks up like a towering lingam
piercing the sky.  The shiny sides
of its cone are free of growth  and
a lush forest surrounds its base. Deep
within the crust covered mantle blobs of
molten magma bubble raring to get out The
pressure builds up, resulting in a pyrotechnic
eruption that sends thru its vent hot lava in an
explosive  pulse  followed by surges of diminishing
intensity flooding below the valleys of mother earth
