Purple Sunbird (Nectarinia asiatica). This bird is a very common breeding resident. Found in light wooded areas and gardens of Haryana. Male is metallic dark blue and purple while the female is brownish. This bird has a thin long slightly curved bill that it uses to feed on flower nectar.
