House Sparrow

House Sparrow (Passer domesticus). This bird is a very common breeding resident, probably the most numerous. But lately the House Sparrow has been showing an inexplicable decline in population. Locally called Gouriya or Chidi, it is found near habitation and cultivated areas of Haryana.
