Eurasian Thick Knee

Eurasian Thick-knee (Burhinus oedicnemus), also known as Stone Curlew, is a scarce breeding resident in Haryana. This crepuscular and nocturnal bird is found in dry wooded and open areas. The Eurasian Thick-knee is a brown streaked plover with 'thick-kneed' legs, largish yellow eyes and a thick head.
