Coppersmith Barbet (Megalaima haemacephala) is a scarce breeding resident in
Haryana. This bird is found in the wooded areas.
Identification: A small brightly colored barbet, with a crimson forehead and patch on breast. It has yellow patches above and below the eye, a yellow throat and dark
streaks on its belly and flanks. The legs and feet are a bright red.
