Common Hoopoe

Common Hoopoe (Upopa epops) is a very common breeding resident, found in the wooded and open areas of Haryana. Locally called 'Hudhud', it is a fawn colored bird with black and white zebra stripes on its back. Size is about 30 cm with a long, slender and gently curved bill.
