Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) is a common winter visitor in Haryana. This bird is found in the wetlands.

Order: CICONIIFORMES   Family: Tringinae   Size: 35 cm   Bill: ~5 cm   Call: teu teu teu

Identification:  Sexes alike. Slightly upturned bill, pale at the base. Legs and feet are olive green. Adult breeding plumage - Head and neck heavily streaked, black feathers among grey on back.

Food: Mainly fish. Also prawns, insects, molluscs
